CDS Junior Championships

Its Been a Long, Dry Year but a Fruitful August and September

Getting back into the swing of things after a long year with some real highlights and some dry spells...

Our great group of Junior Riders competed at the Northern California CDS Junior Championships in August and had great success (all for their first championship show!)

Our Quadrille team wowed everyone with three great demo-performances at Intro, Training and First Level. Scoring 71, 69 and 68 (and some change) respectively. I hope to publish a video of the performances on this blog. The members of the Quadrille Teams included Madison LeFlamme, Emily Eckart and Emma Brown from Team YogaRider as well as girls from BEAR Equestrian and Laurie Moore Dressage to make up the La Jolla Quadrille Team.

The individual and team riders did very well also. Emily Eckart placed third at training level championship classes and Training Level Team Competitions on Savannah Blue and Madison LeFlamme placed fourth on Sahara with the rest of the First Level team in Championship Team Competitions. It was a fun learning experience and a great four days!

Great Show at La Jolla Equestrian Center

This Weekend we had a great show at La Jolla. It was the East Bay Chapter of the California Dressage Society. Most of our trainers participated. We all supported each other and we all had a blast!

Congratulations to Toronado for getting through all of his soreness issues and our bad luck last year to come back on track so quickly at Second Level!

And congratulations to Diana and Magico for riding their very first tests together. The beginnings of a great team!

And congratulations to the CDS East Bay show team and volunteers for making the show a success!

Neville Bardos, a rescued Australian Thoroughbred makes the news! TWICE!
Once in the New York Times for his miraculous recovery from being burned in a barn fire, and then being honored by the USEF as horse of the year.
Let's hear it for the neglected Thoroughbred!
There is hope for Cole to do great things!...at least to make someone a great riding horse and possible competition horse.
